What Is Campaign Monitor?

Campaign Monitor is an online email marketing service provider launched in 2004 by a company based in Sydney, Australia. The software was created when Ben Richardson and David Greiner were in their last year of college and they were asked by a number of individuals to manage websites and email campaigns. After realizing that none of the current email campaign software measured up, the young men decided to put together their own software that not only had an interface that was pleasing to the eye but also allowed for multiple account management through that interface.

Campaign Monitor stands apart when it comes to email marketing software in that it was built specifically for designers. As a result Campaign Monitor gives designers the ability to design emails with their favorite design tools, build templates, and preview screenshots of an email in more than 20 email clients. Their unique professional approach and features have paid off. Negative Reviews

A few things feel wrong, like some pages in their site don’t follow an unified design. If you’re a designer, like me, you may need to forgive it. Where’s the navigation in that page? By not having the internal direct marketing and html expertise, we rely on our advertising agency to create emails and newsletter templates. Ideally, we would have preferred to work directly with a Campaign Monitor account manager to implement our customer marketing strategy and action plan. This is a very thorough review and I appreciate it. I realize it’s been a while since this was posted and thought I’d follow up by saying that I took this review to heart and sent an email to Campaign Monitor telling them their service seemed like what I needed, but that I was concerned about customer service. I let them know I needed a quick reply and full explanations/answers to my questions.

I was pleasantly surprised to get an answer in less than 24 hours and their answers were more than satisfactory.

We’re going to give them a try. If I have more to offer I’ll come back here and add to the post.
